He already showed sparks of his genius. Yes, he missed a couple of notes. But he was 8, and playing in the OPEN category. Of course, now he's the best mandolinist ever (without a doubt).

Steve did a good job standing in, but I wonder why Doug couldn't make this gig? It was obviously billed as Original Dillards. Has a much different sound when the banjo is played out of a C chord position as the tonic.
